Men's Bible Study Lessons
Consecrated to Possess
Men’s Discipleship Lesson – 03/30/2026
Theme Scripture
Joshua 3:5 — “Sanctify yourselves: for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”
Lesson Focus
Before God gives possession, He demands separation. Many men want new territory, favor, authority, and growth, but refuse to let go of old habits, old mindsets, and old ways of living.
The order matters:
Consecration → Then Possession
God prepares the man before He releases the promise.
Key Truth
If you cannot carry it into your next season, it has to go.
Some things in life cannot be upgraded — they must be replaced. God does not improve the old man; He creates a new one.
Main Teaching Points
1. You Can’t Carry the Old You Into the New Place
Scriptures:
Old habits, destructive thinking, and unhealthy patterns cannot follow you into your next season. Some things are not meant to be fixed — they are meant to be removed.
Discussion Questions:
Direct Truth:
If the old you survives, the new you never fully shows up.
2. What You Refuse to Cut Off Will Slow You Down
Scriptures:
Not everything slowing you down is sin. Some things are simply weight. Weights drain focus, delay growth, and keep men spiritually weak.
Discussion Questions:
Direct Truth:
Delayed obedience is still disobedience.
3. Separation Positions You for What God Has Prepared
Scriptures:
God separates before He elevates. Positioning does not come through desire alone — it comes through discipline and obedience.
Discussion Questions:
Direct Truth:
Separation feels like loss until you see what it prepared you for.
4. Consecration Is a Daily Decision
Scriptures:
Consecration is not emotional excitement. It is daily surrender, daily discipline, and daily obedience.
Discussion Questions:
Short Teaching Challenge
Israel had to consecrate before crossing the Jordan because the next season required a different version of them.
Many men want:
But they remain:
God will not empower what you refuse to surrender.
You prepare for the promise before you step into it. If you refuse separation, you create sabotage.
Closing Challenge
Ask yourself:
If God opened the door tomorrow, would your current life sustain the blessing — or sabotage it?
